Milk Confetti Syngonium has gorgeous white washed green leaves with pink markings. It's a beautiful and easy houseplant. Get my best care tips.

Why I Love My Milk Confetti Syngonium
I love syngonium plants, and Milk Confetti is one of my favorites. The color is so gorgeous and it's given me one of the most amazing half moon pink and green leaf (photo below).
It's such a feminine looking plant, and the wistful green and pink is unlike any other plant color.

Milk Confetti Appearance
The Milk Confetti Syngonium is most noticeable for its white washed green leaves. The color is similar to mint green, however it leans more green than some mint greens.
Pink can be found in all sorts of patterns on the leaves. I have some leaves that are fully covered in pink speckles. Some leaves have only small bits of pink. Other leaves have a large pink splotch, rather than tiny speckles.
The most eye-catching leaf at the moment has a pink half moon pattern. It is so gorgeous and I'm desperately hoping the plant puts out more with the half moon pink pattern.

How Do You Care For Milk Confetti Syngonium?
It's easy to care for Milk Confetti Syngonium. This is not a difficult houseplant, and can easily survive in an average home.
Three basic requirements:
- Light: Medium to bright, indirect light for best growth.
- Water: Water pretty frequently, before the soil completely dries out.
- Soil: Chunky potting mix that retains moisture.
Keep reading for more details on each of these requirements.
How Much Light Does Syngonium Need?
Like many houseplants, Syngonium Milk Confetti likes bright indirect light best. If you keep your plant in a bright spot in the house, it should be happy and produce new growth fairly quickly.
Syngoniums will grow leggy and floppy, or grow slowly, if they are not given adequate amount of light.
Where I Put My Plant
Currently, this plant is sitting next to my computer in the living room. Our open floor plan has huge south facing sliding doors that let in so much light.
The plant sits about 15 feet from the south facing windows, so it gets no direct light at all. The plant is very happy in the spot, and puts out new leaves regularly. The photo below shows a new leaf unfurling.
Just to be transparent, I moved the plant to near a window so I could get enough light to take photo. But it doesn't usually sit by the window like you see.

What Kind of Potting Mix Does a Syngonium Milk Confetti Like?
I always believe getting your plant into the appropriate soil is the most important part of its care. It simplifies the watering process tremendously.
After you buy your milk confetti plant, check to make sure that it is in a good mix and repot it if necessary. A lot of plants are sold in a potting mix that is suitable for greenhouse growing conditions. However, it is not suitable for a normal home environment.
Syngoniums (Arrowhead Vines) need chunky and airy soils that give the roots space to breathe. I always make my own mix. I have found that my syngonium plants grow well when I use my Homemade Hoya and Aroid Potting Mix.
In summary, I use the following:
- 2 parts Tropical Potting Soil
- 1 part mix of airy material such as pumice, lava rocks, perlite
- 1 part Orchiata bark

How Often To Water Syngonium Milk Confetti
How often to water your plant is dependent on many factors. For example, the soil mixture it is potted in, the temperature and humidity of your house, and the size of the pot all make a difference.
In general, pot your milk confetti in the appropriate potting mix (chunky and airy) and don't let the roots dry out completely.
For my milk confetti, I water the plant about every 10 days in the winter when it is colder, there is less light, and the plant isn't growing as rapidly.
In the summer months, I find the plant enjoys being watered about every 5 days. This is particular to my plant because it is in a bright spot and grows in a small pot. Both those factors mean the potting mix dries out quicker.
Is Milk Confetti Rare?
The Milk Confetti Syngonium has been popping up all over lately! Late this summer, I saw this plant at both Lowe's and Home Depot. I think they have recently been gaining popularity, so a big nursery must have started growing them in bulk.
Before then, it was a rare-ish plant that I would never see at a big box store. I found mine at a local plant shop. One of my go-to online plant shops, Canopy Plant Co., also frequently has them in stock.

How to Style
The milk confetti looks great in just about any place in the home. It works well on a table, or even as a hanging plant if you like a messy untamed style.
My plant is still small, so the vines have not gotten heavy enough to tip over.
However, take a look at my large Syngonium White Butterfly, and you can see how it will eventually start spreading and vining.
You can also help a syngonium climb upwards if you place in plant supports. Any simple support should help the plant hold up the leaves.
Because of the variegated leaves, a solid color planter complements the plant best. In the photos, I have the plant in a pale pink pot. I've since moved it to a round white terracotta planter.

Love Pink Plants?
The combination of pink and green leaves on houseplants make me swoon. I'm always on the hunt for pink and green plants. Here are a couple more I love:
